Noblesville Family Photographer| The Kregg Family

I've been photographing the Kregg family for a few years now. Mom Beth, Dad Jim, oldest son Roger, daughter Katelyn, and baby boy Leo make up this adorable family of five. Beth and Jim actually moved away from Indiana for a bit, but came home in September to visit for a week and scheduled a photo session while they were here in Noblesville. As their Noblesville family photographer, I was so excited to see them again and see how much those kids had grown!

Fall Family Portrait Spots in Noblesville

I chose a spot that I knew would give Beth the variety she was looking for and let the kids run a bit and be themselves. We shot on stone stairs, under a bridge where ducks actually visited us, and in a beautiful field with a clearing that made it easy for all five of them to sit down and have fun. I brought a vintage patchwork quilt that looked great for the sitting shots.

We went out on a weeknight so it wasn't as busy and we weren't waiting for other photographers to finish their shots. Fall family sessions here in Noblesville are so good. Tons of foliage and it's not as hot. The kids had fun running around and just doing their thing. Exactly what mom wanted.

Outfit Choices That Work for Family Photos

Mom Beth wore a pretty floral print dress with the perfect amount of movement. Dad Jim wore a nice Travis Mathew polo and twill pants. Baby Leo wore that classic cotton chambray shortall with a white shirt underneath. Daughter Katelyn wore a sweet gingham dress with a bow in her hair. And oldest Roger wore a vintage wash black tee with dark denim.

They looked amazing together without being too matchy. That's always the goal.

Noblesville Family Photoshoot with Little Ones

The kids didn't mind being there at first but they wore out pretty quickly. We had to play some games and do fun simple poses that felt more like how they are at home with each other. Working around a new toddler has its challenges too. Dad was such a trooper. He did all the things I instructed him to do behind me so the kids could get a good laugh. And yes, bribing with lollipops goes a long way.

We even had a sweet little duck come visit by the pond! As long as it didn't get too close, the kids loved watching it.

Mom chose a full session instead of a mini because she knew she wanted ALL the feels. Kids are unpredictable and she knew to roll with it. We captured tons of shots. All five together. Mom individually with each child. Individual shots of each kid. Katelyn twirling around in her dress holding yellow wildflowers. Leo sitting on the ground. Roger just being adorable. And all three kiddos together.

We got the holiday card shot where everyone is looking, so the rest were just fair game!
